Process validation and sampling
At Tecnofirma’s T-LAB laboratory it is possible to simulate, test and optimize the industrial impregnation process before implementation on the final plant.
This approach improves the interaction between:
- plant mechanics
- the chemical-physical behavior of resins and powders
The customer can validate different impregnation technologies and materials, reducing start-up time, costs and the risk of non-conformities.
The result is a fully customized system optimized for the real process.
Tecnofirma collaborates with international manufacturers to test innovative resins with low environmental impact.

The machines available in the laboratory allow:
- set-up of impregnation cycles for electric motors
- production of series batches
- testing under real process conditions
Joint customer–supplier work enables progressive optimization of:
- the machine
- the components
In some cases, this leads to product re-engineering aimed at optimizing the process and ensuring high quality standards in the final product.
Specific tests are performed in the laboratory to validate process performance:
- saturation and resin impregnation tests to determine the filling factor
- powder thickness measurement
- microscopic analysis and dimensional checks
The laboratory is equipped with:
- trickling impregnation systems (single-part testing and pre-production)
- rolldip systems
- cold & hot dipping machines
- 3 forced-convection ovens for thermal cycles
- 2 encapsulation and potting systems
- epoxy powder coating test system
- microscopes and certified high-precision scales
All testing activities are carried out in accordance with the standards defined in the customer’s technical specifications.
Test outputs and resultsEach laboratory activity produces:
- a detailed data sheet for each tested part
- a complete technical report
- photographic documentation
These data enable objective validation of the impregnation process before the industrial phase.
